Quest: Develop and produce a public photography exhibition to highlight neighborhood champions. Made for display at block parties and community events in underserved areas of New York.
Community Heroes, NYC is a community-based public photography exhibition celebrating the everyday champions of New York neighborhoods.
In collaboration with Trellis, Nice Think partnered with neighborhood organizations to nominate unsung heroes and commissioned local mediamakers to capture portraits of each community leader.

- Highlights the great stories that are already taking place in each neighborhood
- Encourages viewers to take ownership of their community
- Witnesses to the diverse leadership of each neighborhood in unity
In addition to local exhibits, Nice Think developed strategic partnerships to spread Community Heroes to NYC’s largest photography festival, Photoville, and BRIC B Scene.
